Prerequisites
Make sure you've registered your Android for Tap to Pay in the Pebl app before moving on to the steps below. Learn how to do this here.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Create a New Transaction & Enter Price:
Open the Pebl app and initiate a new transaction. Input the transaction amount.
2. Wait for the Magic Button:
Wait for the "Tap to Pay on Android" button to appear, usually within 1-2 seconds. No drum-rolling required.
3. Select Tap to Pay on Android:
Click on the "Tap to Pay on Android" button. Give it another 1-2 seconds for the relevant screens to load. It's like waiting for a good coffee—worth it.
4. Customer Tap Time:
Ask your customer to tap their contactless card or device at the back of your Android device, specifically near your Android’s NFC area.
5. Hold & Confirm:
Keep the customer's card or device close until your phone sings its song—a sound, vibration, and a tick symbol will indicate payment is accepted.
6. Payment Processing:
Wait momentarily for Pebl to work its magic and process the payment. You'll see a "Payment successful" pop-up when it's all good.
7. In Case of Unsuccessful Payment:
If things didn't go as planned, a "Payment unsuccessful" pop-up will tell you why. You can try again or troubleshoot as needed.
8. Share the Receipt:
Once the payment is successful, you can share a receipt link with your customer through various options—text, email, or even through messenger apps. Just click "Share receipt link."
