How to process a MOTO transaction

Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions offer a practical solution for accepting payments when your customers aren't physically present. Whether you're handling orders over the phone or processing payments from mailed requests, Pebl ensures the process is straightforward and secure. However, for added compliance, privacy, and security, we recommend sending a payment link via SMS or email whenever possible. This gives your customer the ability to enter their card details from the privacy of their own phone. Here’s how to perform a MOTO transaction using the Pebl app.

Step-by-Step Guide to Perform a MOTO Transaction

  1. Create a new transaction by entering the price or selecting your product/s.
  2. Select "Other payment options"
  3. Select the 3-dot menu at the bottom right of the page.
  4. Select "Manual payment"
  5. Enter the customer's name, email and card details to process the payment.

The customer will now receive an email receipt, and your Pebl app will update the payment as "Payment made".
